Description:
Microsuction is the gold standard procedure for removing ear wax which utilises a suction mechanism to clear the wax from the ear canal. Microsuction does not involve the use of water, unlike old fashioned techniques such as irrigation which may risk damaging the eardrum or introducing an infection.
The cost (£50) of the procedure covers microsuction for both ears. Any additional appointments will only be charged at half the cost of £25.
Appointments can be made on short notice however conducting a successful microsuction requires softening of ear wax with olive oil ear drops for at least 7 days. If your ears have not been assessed by a medical professional it would be advisable to book an initial otoscopy first to ensure your wax can be removed in a single appointment.
If no wax is found at the appointment, a refund will be issued after a £20 fee has been deducted.

The minimum age required for microsuction is 16 years old. We are not able to examine younger children.
During booking, only a £30 deposit is required, which will be deducted from the total cost. The remaining payment will be collected at a later stage.
Any cancellation, rescheduling, or missed appointment within 48 hours of the scheduled time will result in the loss of the £30 deposit. If you wish to reschedule, a new £30 deposit will be required to secure the new appointment.
