This test is a useful monitor for patients with liver disease, it measures the 3 direct markers of fibosis: hyaluronic acid (HA), procollagen III amino-terminal peptide (PIIINP), and tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase 1 (TIMP-1).
