Description
Hirsutism is where women have thick, dark hair on their face, neck and chest, tummy, lower back, buttocks, and thighs. This happens when you have a high level of hormones called androgens, or you are overly sensitive to them; this is commonly caused by polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
Treatment
Vaniqa is a cream for your face that acts at the base of the hair follicle and reduces new growth.
Taking the contraceptive pill can also be beneficial in reducing hair growth.
