Stockholm3 Prostate Cancer Risk Blood Test

Stockholm3 Prostate Cancer Risk Blood Test

The Stockholm3 test is an advanced blood test used to assess the risk of clinically significant prostate cancer in men aged 45–74 years who have a PSA level greater than 1.5 ng/ml and no previous diagnosis of prostate cancer.

Unlike PSA testing alone, Stockholm3 combines genetic markers, protein biomarkers, and clinical information within a validated algorithm to more accurately identify men at risk of aggressive prostate cancer.

The test helps reduce unnecessary MRI scans and prostate biopsies while improving early detection of clinically significant disease. It has been validated across multiple ethnicities and in combination with MRI.

A Stockholm3 risk score above 11 indicates an increased risk of clinically significant prostate cancer, and referral to a urologist is recommended.
