IPL Photorejuvenation (Skin Rejuvenation)

From £149

What is it?

IPL photorejuvenation is a light-based skin treatment designed to improve uneven skin tone, redness, pigmentation, and early texture changes. It is commonly used to address sun damage, blotchy colour, visible redness, and dull-looking skin.

Rather than focusing on a single concern, IPL photorejuvenation targets overall skin balance and clarity, helping the complexion look more even and refreshed over time.

Our Technology: The Nordlys™ System

At Epicare Health, IPL photorejuvenation is delivered using advanced light-based technology from Candela, specifically the IPL platform.

This system uses selective light wavelengths designed to target pigment and vascular changes in the skin while protecting surrounding tissue. Treatment settings are adjusted based on skin type, concern, and treatment area to support safe, controlled improvement.

Who is This Treatment Suitable For?

IPL photorejuvenation may be suitable for individuals concerned about:

  • Uneven skin tone

  • Sun damage or pigmentation

  • Facial redness or flushing

  • Early signs of skin ageing

  • Dull or uneven-looking skin

A consultation is always carried out before treatment. This allows your practitioner to assess your skin, confirm suitability, and ensure IPL photorejuvenation is the most appropriate option for your concerns.

The Treatment Process: What to Expect

  1. Consultation & Assessment: Your treatment begins with a consultation to assess your skin and discuss your goals. A patch test may be performed where appropriate.

  2. Preparation: Before treatment, your practitioner will ensure the skin is ready for laser or light-based treatment. This step is designed to support both safety and comfort on the area being treated.

  3. During Treatment: You may feel brief warmth or a light snapping sensation as the IPL handpiece passes over the skin. Sensation varies depending on the area treated and individual sensitivity.

  4. After Treatment: Mild redness or warmth is common and usually settles within a short period. Aftercare guidance will be provided to support skin recovery and results.

How does it work?

IPL photorejuvenation works by delivering controlled pulses of light to the skin. This light is absorbed by areas contributing to pigmentation and redness, helping to break down excess colour and reduce visible vascular changes. Over time, as the skin renews itself, tone can appear more even and the complexion clearer.

Expected Results & Timeline

Some people notice their skin starting to look clearer or more even after the first treatment. Areas of redness or uneven pigmentation may gradually fade as the skin responds over time, helping the complexion appear more balanced.

For the best results, a course of treatments is usually recommended. The number of sessions required varies depending on your skin concerns and how your skin responds, but this will all be discussed during your consultation.

Note

This service is exclusively for individuals aged 18 and over.

During booking, only a £30 deposit is required for the initial consultation, and patch test where applicable, which will be deducted from the total treatment cost. The remaining payment will be collected at a later stage.

Any cancellation, rescheduling, or missed appointment within 48 hours of the scheduled time will result in the loss of the £30 deposit. If you wish to reschedule, a new £30 deposit will be required to secure the new appointment.
