Vitamin K is a fat-soluble vitamin essential for blood clotting. It plays a crucial role in the production of certain proteins involved in the clotting process.

Vitamin K1 (phylloquinone): Found in plants, such as leafy greens and vegetables.
Vitamin K2 (menaquinone): Produced by bacteria in the intestines, but can also be found in some fermented foods.
