What is it?
Sculptra is an injectable poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) collagen biostimulator designed for gradual, natural-looking facial rejuvenation. Rather than relying on an immediate gel-filler effect, Sculptra works by stimulating your body’s own collagen production over time. Once placed in the appropriate tissue, the PLLA particles initiate a biostimulatory response that supports fibroblast activity and new collagen formation.
This is why Sculptra should be thought of as a collagen-stimulating treatment rather than simply another conventional dermal filler. The aim is progressive improvement in facial support, firmness and overall tissue quality.

Procedure
Sculptra is carefully injected into selected areas of the face, where the PLLA particles stimulate your body’s natural collagen production. You may notice some initial fullness after treatment, but this is temporary and will reduce as swelling settles. Over the following weeks and months, new collagen gradually develops, improving facial support, firmness and overall tissue quality.

Timeline and Expected results
Sculptra is usually planned as a staged treatment, with many patients requiring around three sessions spaced at least four weeks apart. The exact number of sessions and vials depends on your facial assessment, level of volume loss, treatment goals and individual response.
Results develop gradually as Sculptra stimulates your natural collagen production. Improvements typically become more noticeable over the following weeks to months, creating a subtle and natural-looking enhancement rather than an immediate change.
Results can last up to around two years, although longevity varies depending on factors such as your treatment plan, ageing process and biological response.
Precaution and Possible side effect of Sculptra
Temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, bruising or mild discomfort can occur following treatment. Less commonly, palpable or visible lumps, nodules, infection, delayed inflammatory reactions and vascular complications can occur. Your practitioner will discuss risks in detail during consent and provide instructions on when to contact the clinic urgently.

Aftercare:
You will receive personalised written aftercare. The Sculptra training protocol used by Epicare includes the commonly taught 5-5-5 massage approach – massage for approximately 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 days – where clinically appropriate and in accordance with the current product/practitioner protocol. Follow the instructions given to you at your appointment rather than generic online advice.
Policy
This service is exclusively for individuals aged 18 and over. During booking, only a £30 deposit is required for the initial consultation, which will be deducted from the total treatment cost. The remaining payment will be collected at a later stage.
Please note that the discounted model price is applicable for a single session only and cannot be repeated. Any subsequent sessions will be charged at the original, full price.

Any cancellation, rescheduling, or missed appointment within 48 hours of the scheduled time will result in the loss of the £30 deposit. If you wish to reschedule, a new £30 deposit will be required to secure the new appointment.
