  • Kit Collection Types

    Capillary finger‑prick (+£19)

A simple, tried-and-tested method using a lancet on your fingertip. You’ll prick your finger, collect a few drops of blood into the tube provided, and return the sample in the pre-paid packaging. This method is quick and effective for many standard blood tests.

    Tasso+ device (+£29)

How to use the Tasso+ device

This kit uses the Tasso+ device, which attaches painlessly to your upper arm (near the shoulder) to draw a small capillary blood sample using a gentle vacuum. It’s virtually painless and avoids repeated finger pricks.

    Self-Collection Kit Information

Prior to collection, please notify the healthcare professional or clinic if any of the following apply:

    • You have a severe reaction to any medicines, including vaccines.

    • You are allergic to anything.

    • You have a medical condition for which you have, or are, receiving medical treatment.

    Sample Kit Handling and Preparation

You are responsible for the successful collection, preparation, and return of your sample. Please ensure you are aware of the following terms:

    • Read all instructions carefully before beginning the collection process. Improper collection may lead to sample rejection.

    • Ensure the designated collection area is clean, well-lit, and safe, free from distractions or potential hazards.

    • Follow the instructions for sample labelling and packaging precisely. Failure to do so may result in your sample being rejected by the lab.

    Sample Rejection and Stability

    • The lab may reject your blood/swab/urine sample in rare cases due to improper collection, inadequate labelling, or transportation conditions.

    • If your sample is rejected, you will be notified, and you will need to complete a repeat blood draw/swab/urine. A replacement kit can be issued, but you will be charged a fee to cover the cost of the replacement kit.

    • Your blood/swab/urine sample may be received by the lab outside of the recommended stability time; the results you receive are still considered valid. The lab and clinic takes measures to ensure that your sample's delayed arrival does not affect the accuracy of your results.
