Description

STI Complete refer to the most thorough option for detecting a wide range of sexually transmitted infections.

Biomarkers:

Bacterial STIs:
- Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea: Usually tested with a urine sample or swabs from the cervix, vagina, or urethra.
- Trichomoniasis: May be tested with a vaginal swab for women or a urine sample for men.
- Mycoplasma Hominis
- Mycoplasma Genitalium
- Ureaplasma Urelyticum
- Chancroid
Viral STIs:
- HIV 1&2: A separate blood test specifically detects HIV.
- Hepatitis B and C: Blood tests are used to detect these viruses.
- Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) 1 & 2: These can be detected through blood tests or a swab from a visible sore (if present). However, blood tests may not always detect recent infections.
Parasitic STI:
- Trichomoniasis: As mentioned above, this can be tested with a vaginal swab or urine sample.
Syphilis Blood Test: This is usually included in a comprehensive screen. It's a two-step process:
Non-treponemal test
Treponemal test if the non-treponemal test is positive.

Any cancellation, rescheduling, or missed appointment within 48 hours of the scheduled time will result in the loss of the £30 deposit. If you wish to reschedule, a new £30 deposit will be required to secure the new appointment.
