Objectives of treatment
This treatment is used to reduce the Body Mass Index (BMI) in obese patients (BMI 30+) or in overweight patients (BMI of 27-30) with one or more weight-related co-morbidities.
Who is this treatment available to?
Patients aged between 18 and 74 years.
Patients with an initial BMI of 30 or greater.
Patients in which a supervised diet, behaviour modification and increasing physical activity failed to achieve a realistic reduction in weight.
Patients with an initial BMI of 27 or greater in the presence of at least one weight-related comorbidity such as:
̵ Hypertension (High blood pressure)
̵ Dyslipidaemia (abnormal amount of lipids - 'bad' cholesterol in your blood.
̵ Obstructive sleep apnoea
̵ Dysglycaemia (pre-diabetes or type 2 diabetes mellitus)
This treatment is only available for ages between 18 and 65 years. Booking an appointment or making an enquiry does not guarantee treatment provision. All services are subject to a clinical consultation and suitability assessment with a qualified healthcare professional. Treatment will only proceed if the patient is deemed medically suitable following this assessment.
During booking, only a £30 deposit is required, which will be deducted from the total cost. The remaining payment will be collected at a later stage.
Any cancellation, rescheduling, or missed appointment within 48 hours of the scheduled time will result in the loss of the £30 deposit. If you wish to reschedule, a new £30 deposit will be required to secure the new appointment.
